Northern Pacific SCCA Formula B 1973
Gary Gove inherited the Lotus 69 that Bill Monson used to drive, and picked up ennough points in Oregon and Northwest Regional Nationals to take the title. His closest competitor was Mike Fisher, in the ex-Bud Rude March 722.
Jon Milledge picked up his 18 points for two wins in Southern Division Nationals in February and April driving Archie Snyder's Brabham BT29, and Ernie Haze also raided Riverside for his nine points, winning the February National. Snider had a new GRD B73 for Milledge to use in Pro races, but drove the Brabham in Nationals. The only mystery car was the Lotus of Ken Thomson (or Ken Thompson, or Ken Thomsen, depending on what you read).

Northern Pacific Division sources
Most of our knowledge of NorPac racing comes from the SCCA's Sports Car magazine, from Competition Press & Autoweek and from an extensive collection of San Francisco Region's The Wheel newsletter from 1971 onwards. We are very keen to acquire or borrow 1960s, 1970s and 1980s copies of all three of the main SCCA regional publications in this division:
- The Wheel (San Francisco Region)
- Northwest Sports Car News (Northwest Region)
- Loud Pedal (Oregon Region)
We are also keen to get scans of entry lists from SCCA Nationals, notably the Laguna Seca Sprints and the Rose Cup Races.
