Worked as a lecturer at Warsaw University but WW2 intervened and he moved to England. After a spell as a pilot during the conflict, he joined Norton as a sanitary engineer initially. Kuzmicki became well known for his work on combustion chambers and this led to rapid promotion at Norton. As well as his spell linked with Vanwall, Kuzmicki worked for Rootes, where he was involved with engine design for the Hillman Imp, and also worked for Chrysler.
