No longer racing competitively, although he had one-off drives for some years. Now works more as a driver coach and in 2018, became an official test driver for the Indycar series. In 2014, he also became one of the drivers in the new Formula E series. A qualified mechanical engineer, Servia moved to the US in 1998 and moved up to Champ Car two years later, after winning the 1999 Indy Lights title. He also is an automotive and technical consultant.
