Former motorcycle racer who had a brief spell in the United States, racing in Indy Lights before a brief effort at Indianapolis and then an appearance in the CART series. Vinicio later raced in powerboats for a while. Still well, and he works - and enjoys - flying both commercial and private planes. Has a base in Switzerland as well as Ferrara, where he still lives with his wife and daughter. A charming, bilingual and knowledgeable man, Salmi's first love is motorcycling and he still likes to visit current and historic events and follows Moto GP.
