Probably now best known for his promotion and organisational work in the sport, as he currently helps Maurizio Flammini run, amongst other things, the Italian GT series as part of his old friend's team at the FG Group. As a driver, he was best known for his sportscar efforts, racing from the early 1970's to the mid 1980's, winning the 6 Hours of Misano in 1977 and the 6 Hours of Vallelunga in 1980. In 2018, he was named as the general director of the Imola circuit until 2020 and under his supervision, Formula 1 returned there for the first time in aeons when the circuit hosted a Grand Prix to cover other COVID -19 hit countries.
