Had a varied career since Formula 3000, with spells in jeeps, endurance and rallies and if there were no drives, tyre testing. However more recently, he's been only racing for fun, although, saying that, he won the Suzuki Motorsport Cup title in 2009. Now mainly works as a racing instructor, and is the head racing instructor at the new Red Bull Ring - Red Bull helping him into and during Formula 3000. Bernard is the son of August Auinger, who raced in 125cc World Championship motorcycling. Won the 2000 Formula Konig title.
